Your new role

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a high-profile government programme. The successful candidate will support the IDE team in developing and delivering functional and non-functional requirements across four core applications, ensuring they meet the scale and performance demands of the programme.Role Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Java-based applications within the IDE programme.
• Deliver functional and non-functional features across multiple core components.
• Work within Agile Scrum teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Support systems administration activities for J2EE applications.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to ensure solutions align with technical standards.
• Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

What you'll need to succeed

• Must have a minimum of 5 years UK residency (security requirement).
• 2-5 years of hands-on development experience.
• Systems administration experience for J2EE applications.
• Experience with:
  • JBoss
  • Jenkins
  • Ansible
  • Git
  • Agile Scrum
