Senior Façade Estimator

Our client is one of the UK's leading Fa ade / Envelope contractors and they are looking to recruit a Senior Facades Estimator to join their award-winning team.

Day to day duties include preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for fa ade projects, ensuring they align with company objectives and client expectations. You will collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive pricing strategies and tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities of the role include

• Lead the preparation of estimates and tenders for fa ade projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents to prepare detailed costings.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions in fa ade design and installation.
• Engage with supply chain partners to obtain competitive quotes and ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Work closely with the commercial and pre-construction teams to develop bid strategies.
• Attend client meetings, design reviews, and tender interviews to support business development.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, material costs, and subcontractor rates.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in cost planning.
• Support junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement in estimating processes.

Key Requirements of the role include

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in fa ade estimating, ideally within curtain walling, cladding, or glazing.
• Strong technical knowledge of fa ade systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel, Causeway, or similar).
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for supplier and client engagement.
• Experience working on large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
