Site civil Engineer

Our client has an extensive portfolio of civil engineering works that covers bridges, tunnels, roads, water, energy and marine projects amongst others, and includes many award-winning and iconic schemes. Their skill in delivering complex and technically challenging construction projects on time and to budget is allied with an excellent health, safety and environmental record.

They are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and demonstrate proficiency in various design software. This role involves collaborating on diverse projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the successful delivery of engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Utilise software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit for project design and documentation.
• Conduct land surveying and site assessments to gather relevant data for project planning.
• Prepare schematics and detailed drawings to communicate design intent effectively.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to project specifications.
• Perform system design analysis using Mathcad and ArcGIS to optimise project outcomes.
• Engage in project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software; experience with Civil 3D and Revit is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with land surveying techniques and equipment.
• Excellent mathematical skills for engineering calculations using tools like Mathcad.
• Ability to create detailed schematics and perform system design analyses.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
