Water Hygienist

Your new companyHays is currently working with a luxury country estate client. They are seeking a dedicated Water Hygienist to join their Facilities & Maintenance team. You will play a vital role in maintaining water hygiene across the estate, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and supporting the smooth operation of our plumbing systems. Your new role

• Conduct weekly flushing of low-use outlets
• Perform showerhead descaling and chemical cleaning
• Carry out water sampling and temperature monitoring
• Operate and inspect auto-dosing systems
• Assist with basic plumbing tasks and minor repairs
• Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation
• Support the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in water hygiene or plumbing
• Knowledge of ACoP L8 and Legionella control (preferred not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and support broader maintenance duties
