About you

We are looking for a careful forklift driver to move packages and material around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouse, storage spaces and other facilities. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.
Key Accountabilities:

- Ensure Goods are received and recorded correctly and accurately.
- Support organising and participate in stock takes at regular intervals
- Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse
- Assist in planning future capacity requirements
- Ensure that health and safety measures meets the required standards
- Ensure hazardous & Allergen materials are stored in accordance with requirements
- Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency
- Recognise and report defective material and equipment
- Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy industrial environments
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
- Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
- Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
- Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
- Using industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transport
- Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures
- Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods
- Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation which is able to fulfil operational and customer demand and meet set targets
- Ensure the delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production schedule
Our Requirements:
-
- You must have a reach truck and counterbalance license
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment, inventory, goods in, stock control and picking for orders.
- Ability to work in a team or individually
- Can do , hands-on and proactive attitude
- Good time keeping skills
- Good numeracy and communication skills with a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Flexible to work various hours on shift rota basis, including weekends and evenings
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
