Air Freight Operator - Heathrow - Freight Forwarding

About the Role:

(German speaking) Air Freight Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of ffreight shipments. This position requires a strong understanding of ocean freight operations, documentation, and trade terms.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage Air freight shipments from booking to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate execution.

Prepare and process necessary documentation, including shipping instructions, bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.

Liaise with shipping lines, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment flow.

Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to customers and resolving any issues that may arise.

Negotiate freight rates and contract terms with shipping lines.

Handle customs clearance procedures, including documentation and payment.

Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Stay updated on industry regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.

Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ocean freight operations.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight operation

Strong understanding of Air freight documentation and procedures.

Must be confident in German Speaking

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
