Job Requirements/Description

Chief Income Generation Officer
£140k - £150k • hybrid working with London base

Dogs Trust is the UK's leading dog welfare charity, and we've been helping dogs since 1891. We want a better life for every dog in the UK and around the world, and our new strategy is designed to help us do just that. As well as being the nation's most loved dog charity in the UK, with our successful 2023 merger with Worldwide Veterinary Service and Mission Rabies, Dogs Trust Group is increasingly becoming a global force for good in dog welfare.

But there's still so much more to do to deliver our ambitious plans for the next decade, which requires sustained, steady income growth and diversification. We're looking for a senior leader to join us and take a global lead in delivering the vital resources to help us realise our ambitions to help more dogs who need us most.

You'll shape and deliver a best-of-class fundraising strategy to broaden and increase our income streams by combining audience insight, data analytics, creativity, and new technologies to maximise LTV and ROI. This will include growing all types of individual and philanthropic giving and developing our commercial activity to create new income streams.

Our track record of consistent strong performance means you'll start from an excellent position. Still, we are ambitious to do more, with a plan for substantial investment in engagement and fundraising to maximise reach and income. As a vital member of our small Senior Leadership Team, you will understand the importance of working as part of a unified senior team, sharing joint responsibility for the wider leadership and delivery of our organisational strategy.

Candidates will bring an exceptional professional skillset, with expertise across all areas of income generation. Senior leadership experience at a major charity (preferably executive, but non-executive will not rule you out) is essential. An assured strategic planner and leader through change, you'll bring an approach that combines creativity, analysis, and strong interpersonal skills. You'll demonstrate a sophisticated ability to maintain a close focus on both near- and medium-term priorities and must share our passionate commitment to the welfare of dogs.

Dogs are incredibly diverse, much like the humans that love them! At Dogs Trust we value diversity, and we're committed to fostering an inclusive culture. We actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, abilities, and cultures and believe that a diverse workforce helps us to achieve our mission. Our colleague networks give our people a voice, acting as vehicles for real and meaningful change within Dogs Trust. We truly want to see every candidate shine throughout the entire job application process, interview stages, and during their time with us. If there's anything on your mind or any adjustments you may need, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
