SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Setting: Alternative Provision School (Ages 5-16)

TeacherActive are looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Assistant to join an amazing Alternative Provision School in Colchester. This school supports children who have found mainstream education challenging, providing them with the tools and guidance to succeed.

As an SEN Learning Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to children with special educational needs.
• Assist in creating a nurturing and structured learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
• Support students both academically and emotionally.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

Previous experience in a specialist school is essential.
Relevant qualifications in SEN support or education.
A compassionate and patient approach to learning.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required.
