Overview
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Permanent Full-Time (Mon-Fri) – 8am to 5pm
We are actively seeking applications from individuals keen to take up a career within one of Europe’s leading food processing companies. This is an opportunity to join a well-established team, within our Engineering and Maintenance department as a Stores Person.
Responsibilities
- Drive through changes in processes and working practices to improve efficiencies in material control.
- Closely liaise with the Engineering and Maintenance team, and the Site Services Co-ordinator, for the ordering of all spares needed for planned maintenance, follow up, audit and corrective work.
- Report out for weekly/monthly reviews.
- Materials control.
- Ordering of materials and stock management.
- Maintenance of accurate records regarding stores activities.
- Work closely with the Engineering team to source urgent engineering consumable items.
- Developing and maintaining the Engineering Stores provision.
- Check deliveries and receipt goods into SHIRE system before locating these to agreed storage areas.
- Maintaining good standards of housekeeping.
- To perform other stores associated duties as required.
Qualifications
- Possess good communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative whilst working as part of a team striving to achieve high levels of customer service.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Good level of verbal and written English.
