Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
Sorting, storing, replenishing food stock items and distributing ingredients
Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare salads, sandwiches and desserts
Cleaning of dining room, post breakfast, lunch and supper
Disposing of rubbish
Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
Cleaning of kitchen area post service
Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
Performs additional duties as needed.
Thursday to Sunday shifts , 8 hours per shift, 32 hours per week.
Skills: Understanding the importance of health and hygiene, plenty of stamina, a good team player, the ability to listen and a willingness to learn about resident dietary needs,
Qualifications: Kitchen experience desirable but not essential for the right applicant.
