Do you believe education should be accessible to all? Birkbeck, University of London, was founded on the radical principle of opening doors to working Londoners. It now seeks an outstanding individual to champion this mission in our third century as Chair of the Governing Body. We seek an exceptional communicator, able to influence, and relationship-build with ease. Acting as an ambassador for Birkbeck, championing our values and building support amongst key stakeholders; you will lead the Governing Body to further determine the College's strategic direction and promote its mission.
As Chair, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our unique institution. In a competitive sector, Birkbeck thrives by offering high-quality, flexible education through a blend of inspirational face-to-face teaching and modern digital learning, empowering students of all backgrounds to achieve their ambitions. Your strategic leadership will be crucial to ensuring Birkbeck's continued development, growth, and future sustainability.
