Transport Operator

Adecco are proud to be working exclusively with an expanding company who are seeking a Transport Operator

Salary: 28,000 - 40,000 p/a dependant on experience

Working days: Monday to Friday

Working hours: 8am till 6pm

Duration of contract: Permanent

Location: Stanford Le Hope

Duties:

• Planning & checking routes
• Day 1, Checking, routing, maintaining & problem solving (see operator checklist/timeline)
• Liaising with fleet regarding services
• Liaising with port expediters/supervisors ensuring jobs are being dispatched
• Arranging parking & night out procedures
• Liaising with customer service and HR teams

Skills:

• Knowledge of transportation regulations
• Flexible with working hours - may be required to be on call
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Proficiency in VBS systems for ports, TOPS, and Destin8 systems.
• Previous experience working with containers is required.
