This is a rare opportunity to join a company where engineering drives every decision. The organisation fosters a collaborative, non-hierarchical culture that empowers engineers to take ownership, share ideas freely, and contribute across the full product lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be involved in designing and developing components for both consumer and industrial products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating mechanical concepts and detailed 3D models using SolidWorks
  • Designing for a variety of manufacturing processes: machining, injection moulding, extrusions, sheet metal, 3D printing, and more
  • Hands-on prototyping, testing, and refining designs using rapid prototyping technologies
  • Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency
  • Supporting the transition of legacy drawings into CAD/PDM format and maintaining the design library
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Participating in design reviews and supporting products throughout their lifecycle

What's on Offer

  • A collaborative, flat-structured environment where your ideas are valued
  • Involvement in the full product journey-from concept to production
  • Opportunities to shape future product direction
  • Standard working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)
  • Annual discretionary profit-related bonus
  • A team that values empathy, responsibility, and engineering integrity

What You'll Bring

  • A strong grasp of mechanical design and engineering principles
  • Excellent sketching, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A passion for creating high-quality, innovative products
