Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team on either a permanent or long-term contract basis (outside IR35). As a key member of our project teams, you will oversee the mechanical installation works on high-profile commercial projects based in central London and the West End. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills, a solid technical background, and a proven track record in managing mechanical teams on large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the mechanical team, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
• Monitor and coordinate the mechanical installation tasks for large commercial projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and client requirements.
• Manage and review project schedules, identifying and addressing potential delays or issues in the execution of mechanical works.
• Provide technical support and guidance to mechanical engineers and technicians, resolving complex technical issues and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety protocols are being followed.
• Liaise with site management, project managers, and other subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination and efficient project progress.
• Maintain accurate records of all work, including work orders, inspections, and reports.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within the construction or M&E sector, ideally on large commercial projects.
• Strong technical background in mechanical engineering, including experience with HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems installations.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, site protocols, and relevant standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience with managing and coordinating subcontractors and on-site teams.
• Valid CSCS card and any relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, SSSTS, etc.).
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
