French Speaking Primary Teaching Assistant

Job Title: French Teaching Assistant (Primary School)
Location: Camden, London
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (From February Half Term until July)

Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a French Teaching Assistant at a Primary School in Camden. The successful candidate will be supporting the delivery of French language support to children, helping them to develop their speaking, listening, and comprehension skills in French. You will work closely with the class teacher to support and guide students in their language learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in teaching French to primary school students in line with the curriculum
• Support children with their language acquisition and confidence in speaking French
• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students struggling with French
• Assist with classroom management and help maintain a positive learning environment
• Help prepare teaching resources and activities for lessons
• Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to the teacher

Requirements:

• Fluent in both French and English
• Experience working with primary school-aged children (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic and passionate about language learning
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable:

• Experience in teaching or assisting with language lessons (French)
• Previous experience in a primary school setting
