An excellent opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Religious Education and/or Sociology to join a thriving secondary school and sixth form setting in East London from September 2026.

The Role

We are seeking an inspiring classroom practitioner to deliver high-quality teaching across key stage 3,4&5.

The successful candidate will have the ability to engage and motivate students, fostering a love for both RE and/or Sociology while supporting strong academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in RE and/or Sociology
• Experience teaching across KS3-KS5 (desirable)
• A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
• Strong behaviour management and organisational skills
• A collaborative and proactive approach
