Portsmouth area - commutable from Southampton, Fareham, Chichester and surrounding areas
Salary - 30,000 - 50,000 (depending on experience)

SRG is working with a leading contract research organisation in the crop protection sector. Based in the Portsmouth area, they have recently started hiring for a new member of their formulation team. This opportunity would suit someone with strong previous formulation experience in the chemicals sector, preferably within agrochemicals although other industries will also be considered like household products, biocides, surfactants and coatings.

Role Description

• Researching new formulations for chemicals, biopesticides and biostimulants
• Analysing and interpreting data from formulation experiments to help develop novel technologies
• Using advanced chemical and biotechnology equipment to evaluate and test crop protection formulations and stability tests
• Working closely with global clients to solve problems relating to developing new agrochemical products
• Adhering closely to health and safety regulations whilst working in a GLP laboratory

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry or a similar field. A PhD would be advantageous but not essential
• Significant recent experience in chemical formulation. Experience in crop protection would be advantageous
• A proven track record of solving complex problems relating to chemical formulation
• Willing to travel or relocate to the South coast Hampshire area
• Full right to work in the UK.
