Identity Engineer
Remote with occasional onsite requirements in London and Reading
6 Month Contract
£500 - £600/day inside IR35
Lorien's Utilities client are currently recruiting for an Identity Engineer Role to join on a 6 month initial contract, inside IR35.
Key responsibilities of the Identity Engineer role include:
- Design and Implementation: Develop, document and implement identity solutions using Active Directory and Entra ID, including Conditional Access, Device posture, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Single Sign-On (SSO). Identify best practice and experience of how to get a product deployed into an enterprise environment.
- Management and Maintenance: Advise and update the day-to-day operations of Active Directory and Entra ID environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve identity and access-related issues, providing technical support and guidance to internal teams.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that identity solutions meet security and compliance standards, implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Operational process creation and handover: Identity operational processes and work with operational handover teams to deploy changes into a production environment in a fully supported manner.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this Identity Engineer role, you will need:
- Proven experience with Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) implementation and management. Other Identity Provider experience beneficial.
- Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management and security principles.
- Hands-on experience with Conditional Access, MFA, and SSO, Group Policy, Intune and related technologies.
- Knowledge of protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Experience with identity governance and administration tools such as Sailpoint or CyberArk desirable.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation using API's and infrastructure as code. (Terraform/Github)
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
