SENCo required in Enfield
Do you have experience supporting students with SEN?
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated SENCo to join a secondary school in Enfield on a permanent basis from September. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the school is fully inclusive and responsive to the needs of all students with additional educational requirements.
The Role SENCo
- The successful SENCo will oversee the provision of support for students with special educational needs, ensuring that their individual needs are met, and progress is regularly reviewed.
- Lead and manage the Learning Support Department, including supporting and mentoring Teaching Assistants (TAs) and other staff members.
- Work closely with parents, staff, and external agencies to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
- Monitor the progress of students with special educational needs and ensure effective intervention strategies are in place.
- Provide advice, guidance, and training to staff on best practices for inclusive teaching and learning.
- Ensure that the school is compliant with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
- Lead on the identification and assessment of students with SEN, maintaining detailed records of assessments, interventions, and progress.

Key Requirements SENCo
- Must hold a degree and QTS (or equivalent)
- A passion for supporting students with SEN
- A qualification in Special Educational Needs (NASENCO)
