Freelance Driver & Setup Technician For Sound And Lighting Hire Company

The role is to assist with the preparation, maintenance and delivery of Audio Visual equipment for our busy hire department. Hire Frequencies Ltd is an established business based in Bounds Green, who specialise in Audio Visual equipment rentals and event production in London and the South of England. Our work includes delivering and installing Audio Visual equipment to Music festivals, live music events, conferences and awards dinners. We also cater for smaller events such as hiring DJ equipment and speakers for weddings and parties. The role may be required to assist, or cover for, other roles within the operation for which full training / support will be given.

This job would suit highly energetic individuals who are physically fit, and are comfortable driving in London whilst dropping equipment to venues across the Capital. On occasions this role will also require carrying out collections in the evening. A basic knowledge of sound systems, DJ equipment and lighting is not essential but will put you in a good position to succeed in this role. The successful candidate will be happy working alone and as part of team, and be able to deal with pressure when we're busy. They will also have strong communication skills and be able to deliver excellent customer service to a wide range of clients.

Main Responsibilities
Multi-drop van driving duties around the local and surrounding areas
Prepare and load equipment for delivery
Load and unload delivery courier/transport vehicles containing a variety of equipment
To ensure equipment is delivered within time lines and with appropriate packaging and documentation
Do regular checks on warehouse vehicles for fluid levels, proper tyre pressure and cleanliness, report potential safety issues or service needs
To assist in the preparation and maintenance of audio systems within the warehouse
To assist in general warehouse operation and organisation
To assist with stock management
To report to managers any anomalies, lost, stolen or damaged equipment
The role may be required to assist, or cover for, other roles within the operating for which full training/support will be given

Requirements

Level of Education
At least two years driving experience

Professional Requirements
Full, clean UK driving licence
Right to work and remain in the UK

Essential Skills/Experience
The successful candidate will be a confident and logistical van driver
You will require flexibility and be willing work weekends and unsociable hours
You will possess a keen interest and knowledge in audio
Experience of working within a similar role would be advantageous, together with a willingness and ability to learn quickly
Our drivers are required have held a driving license for at least 3 years
