Senior Highways Engineer

Access Talent Group are recruiting for an Engineering consultancy who specialise within sectors including Logistics & Manufacturing, Development infrastructure and Residential. They are looking to bring in a Senior Highways Engineer to join there growing team, the opportunity to take on responsibility and develop new skills, all within a supportive and friendly team environment.

Essential:

• Independently using design software, including AutoCAD (2D Design), Microdrainage / WinDes, & Civil 3D (3D Design).
• Knowledge of Design manual for road and bridges with experience in using the standards within design for Local Highway authorities / National Highways.
• S278 and S38 legal agreements process and guide clients from initial appointment to signing of the agreement of construction.
• Technical ownership of the production of drawings, calculations, reports and design documents.

The role responsibilities:

• Managing appropriate projects with full liaison with clients and third parties.
• Responsible for planning and reviewing the production of drawings, calculations, reports and design documents by others.
• Co-ordinating with project engineers, engineering technicians and senior team.
• Analysing technical problems, assessing the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devising new approaches and alternative solutions.
• Identifying and managing risks within areas of responsibility.
• Complete site visits to review project constraints and the construction process as required.
