We are currently seeking an experienced Head Chef to join the Hotel at our beautiful Grade II-listed premises.

Our premises have recently undergone a complete refurbishment, including a brand-new kitchen with high-level culinary equipment, suitable for an executive kitchen.

We are seeking a passionate, highly motivated individual to deliver sophisticated menus featuring fresh, high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Skilled in modern kitchen technology and precision cooking methods, our Head Chef will have hands-on experience with a strong understanding of how to apply these techniques to maintain consistency, quality, and creativity in our dishes.

You will have demonstrable experience in the following: -

  • Solid understanding of the importance of locally sourced and home-made produce and its addition to the menu, through the creation of exemplary seasonal offerings.
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food presentation
  • Thorough understanding of nutritional, dietary, and allergen requirements
  • Day-to-day operational management of the kitchen and kitchen team.
  • Experience in the creation and delivery of a seasonal menu, ensuring customer attraction is maximized.
  • Maintaining an effective stock control system
  • Full accountability for the creation of function/ event menus, in accordance with client requests.
  • Responsible for assessing kitchen staff headcount and recruiting in line with the company's requirements.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen, delegating where necessary to ensure the restaurant's current '5 star' food hygiene rating is upheld.

Monitoring kitchen appliances and ensuring the replacement of any defective/ broken items.

Qualifications

Over 3 years Senior Chef experience

Level 3 or Equivalent Food Hygiene Certificate
