Welfare/Pastoral Officer - Portsmouth

Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a Welfare/Pastoral Officer to join our client Mainstream Primary School based in Portsmouth.

We are in search of a compassionate individual with experience in first aid or pastoral care. Your role will be vital in creating a safe and nurturing environment for our students, and you'll occasionally support pupils in the classroom.

Contract Details for the Welfare/Pastoral Officer role:

• Location - Portsmouth (PO2)
• Position - Welfare/Pastoral Officer
• Start date - ASAP
• Hours - 08:30am - 15:30pm
• Contract type - Temporary/Permanent
• Full time/part time - Full-Time Monday to Friday
• Minimum rate of pay - 13.09 per hour

Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the role:

• If you have GCSE qualifications in English and Maths, minimum of a grade 4/C (or equivalent)
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Will embrace our highly supportive and professional culture
• Previous Welfare or First Aid experience
• You wish to develop their skills and embrace ongoing training and development

To be eligible as a Teaching Assistant role through Prospero Teaching you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
