About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team in Sittingbourne, Kent. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services projects, working closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems, with a keen eye for detail and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical building services, including HVAC, plumbing, and heating.

• Conduct site visits to assess project scope and requirements.

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop value-engineered solutions.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and building standards.

• Prepare and submit tenders and proposals within deadlines.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and cost factors.

• Assist in post-tender negotiations and contract finalization.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services sector.

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and heating.

• Knowledge of relevant building regulations and industry standards.

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
