Long Term Futures is seeking a passionate and motivated Psychology Graduate to join a supportive primary school in Westminster as a Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate eager to gain hands-on experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) before progressing into careers such as Educational Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, or Teaching.

About the Role

You'll work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech and Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support across the classroom.
  • Assisting with targeted interventions focused on communication, confidence, and emotional regulation.
  • Supporting pupils to develop independence and engagement within class routines.
  • Observing and reflecting on learning behaviours - invaluable experience for aspiring psychologists.
  • Working alongside educational specialists to implement and adapt learning strategies.
