Nursing Home Chef - BedfordLocation: BedfordHours: 30 hours per week (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)Pay Rate: £12.70 - £13.20 per hour (depending on experience)Contract: Permanent, Part-Time

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef to join our team in a warm and supportive nursing home environment. The ideal candidate will have previous care home kitchen experience and a passion for preparing nutritious meals for older adults.

• Prepare and cook well-balanced, home-style meals tailored to residents' dietary needs, including IDDSI and modified diets

• Ensure meals are served on time and in accordance with care schedules

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen

• Monitor food stock, place orders, and reduce waste

• Comply with all food safety regulations and internal health & safety policies

• Experience in a care home kitchen (essential)

• Valid Food Hygiene Level 2 (or higher) certificate

• Good knowledge of dietary requirements for older adults

• Organised, reliable, and able to work independently

• Friendly, team-oriented, and resident-focused attitude
