Position good to knows of the Logistics Manager role

• Oversee and manage the Delivery Management system

• All deliveries arriving to site must go on the system and be given times they can arrive

• Skips and bins

• Managing all waste on site and managing sub-contractor s waste

• Issuing Clear up notices for sub-contractors that do not keep their areas clean and tidy

• Must be able to use a computer competently and upload pictures /notices and issue

• Work closely with the project team and in turn giving all this information the Main contractors QS team so they can contra charge

• Management meetings with main contractor site team and all sub contractors

• Managing all Labour required for the site Gatemen, Traffic Marshalls, Fork Lift and Fork Lift Drivers, General Labourers, Handymen / Carpenters

• Ordering in extra staff when required to do so

Your key duties of the Logistics Manager

• Looking after all logistic processes on site:

• Waste management, Traffic management, Welfare facilities management, Lifting operations, Labour management, Site inductions

• Manage logistics operations for the construction site

• Oversee delivery of materials and equipment

• Liaising and communicate with all sub-contractors and the main contractor

• Liaise with and oversee suppliers, subcontractors, and the site team to streamline logistics processes

• Maintain oversight of inventory, monitor deliveries, and manage on-site storage facilities

• Uphold health and safety standards pertaining to logistics activities

• Managing labour, toolbox talks, deliveries, waste and general site duties

Key must have s you should have as the successful Logistics Manager

• SSSTS or SMSTS

• First Aid

• CSCS

Key experiences you should have as Logistics Manager

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Previous experience as a Logistics Manager
