LOCATION: The Behavioural Change Programme / BCP is delivered over Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Thames Valley and candidates can be based in any of those locations.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Interventions Deputy Manager / Rehabilitation Offender Behaviour Programme Leadwho has recent Criminal Justice Sector / CJS experience or good working knowledge of the Probation Service.

The organisation delivers evidence based and innovative interventions and services to individuals who, due to multiple or complex needs require specialist change treatment or holistic support. The criminal justice work is not restricted to individuals who have a conviction. The organisation's interventions take place remotely, in the community and in custodial settings.

A number of different interventions are delivered by the BCP, including:

  • Stalking Perpetrator interventions
  • Domestic Abuse Perpetrator interventions
  • Transition Programme - a resettlement intervention in prison

The portfolio of interventions is growing, with the aim of ensuring that all specialist needs in the criminal justice field are met with high quality, well-managed services.

Working as the Interventions Deputy Manager / Rehabilitation Offender Behaviour Programme Lead you will take a supporting role in the strategic development, co-ordination and delivery of participants interventions. Additionally embedding new delivery models, supporting the development of related contracts and partnerships to ensure the BCP successfully meet contractual requirements and participant outcomes.

As the Interventions Deputy Manager / Rehabilitation Offender Behaviour Programme Lead you will work alongside the operational team, to lead continuous practice improvement and high-quality service delivery within BCP. You will also implement quality assurance within the team as per Quality Assurance framework and be responsible for leading and overseeing the development of high-quality practice amongst operational staff through observations, audits and development activities.

Part of your role will also include supporting the BCP Regional Operations Manager deputising for them as required in the day-to-day running of the Unit.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the Interventions Deputy Manager / Rehabilitation Offender Behaviour Programme Lead you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Recent Criminal Justice Sector (CJS) experience or a good working knowledge of the Probation Service/CJS
  • Experience and knowledge of desistance and trauma informed approaches to achieving positive change and reducing reoffending
  • Partnership working and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Understanding of performance management
  • Ability to work flexibly according to the requirements of the post
  • Experience of supervising staff with line management experience
  • Experience of multi-agency working
  • Understanding of diversity, equalities and inclusive practice
  • Experience of managing risk and safeguarding

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check with the additional barred list check. All required checks will be undertaken as part of the pre-employment process for any successful candidate.
