Job Vacancy: Lift Surveyor - Nationwide Travel Up to £45,000 + Benefits

Location: Sites across the UK, with weekly visits to Head Office in Ramsgate

Salary: Negotiable - up to £45,000 (DOE)

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist client within the lift refurbishment industry who are looking to bring an experienced and detail-oriented Lift Surveyor into their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company known for crafting bespoke lift car interiors, working on projects nationwide with a highly skilled and supportive team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will travel to sites across the UK, conducting on-site surveys from within and on top of lift cars (not using hoists), with one weekly visit required at the Head Office near Ramsgate.

Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out accurate measurements and surveys of lift interiors and shafts
• Using electrical and manual tools to produce precise hand-drawn technical surveys
• Completing paperwork and submitting documentation in a timely manner
• Applying practical knowledge of materials such as wood and metal to assess lift structures
• Following company travel and site procedures

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience in the lift industry or background in carpentry/shop fitting/construction
• Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in measuring
• Comfortable with regular travel and occasional overnight stays
• Good communicator - confident explaining technical information
• Self-motivated and able to work independently

Essential Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• EOR202N
• CSCS Card
• Experience with hand-drawn technical surveys
• CAD/SolidWorks experience is beneficial but not essential
