Are you an experienced and passionate SENCo looking for a rewarding part-time role? This Southend-based primary school is seeking a committed professional to provide maternity cover and continue delivering high-quality support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

The Role

As the SENCo, you will:

• Lead and coordinate SEN provision across the school
• Support teachers in planning and implementing strategies for a range of needs
• Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals
• Monitor pupil progress and review support plans
• Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
• Provide training, guidance, and expertise to staff

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it)
• Strong understanding of SEND processes and legislation
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• A reflective, supportive, and approachable practitioner
