Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential? We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist education team in Surbiton.
About the Role:- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), communication difficulties, and sensory needs.
- Support pupils with their learning, social development, and independence.
- Implement strategies and communication tools such as PECS, Makaton, or visual supports (training provided if needed).
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and sensory programmes where required.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver individual learning plans.
- Create a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment where every child can thrive.
About You:- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ideally ASD.
- Kind, patient, and resilient with a genuine passion for inclusive education.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to assist with personal care and support physical or sensory needs.
- A relevant qualification such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential.
