Therapy Assistant
Full Time Term Time (plus inset days) Location: Hillingdon Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
We are looking to appoint a motivated and caring Therapy Assistant to support our specialist provision for children and young people with additional needs in Hillingdon.
About the Role
In this role, you will assist qualified therapists in delivering therapeutic interventions and supporting assessments. You will work collaboratively with pupils, school staff and families to ensure strategies are consistently applied in daily routines.
Your duties will include:
Delivering therapy activities following guidance from therapistsSupporting pupils in both one-to-one and group sessionsPreparing and organising therapy materials and equipmentMonitoring and recording pupil progressAssisting teaching staff in applying therapeutic approaches in the classroomEncouraging communication, independence and emotional wellbeingYou will be working with pupils who may have a variety of needs, including communication challenges, sensory differences, and physical or learning disabilities.
