Full or P/T Optometrist

A fantastic new full or part time Optometrist role has opened up at a well established and reputable practice near Colchester.

Established over 34 years ago this practice is one of the first franchises opened in the UK, quickly becoming one of the most reputable practices in the area.

This is an increasingly well performing practice with the store even being awarded first in the region for Customer Service last year.

You will be joining a large team of optical professionals including IP qualified Optometrists keen to share their skill set and help to develop fellow Optometrists in their role.

The practice also offers brilliant prospects to develop your clinical skills as an Optometrist by offering enhanced services such as MECS scheme and able to provide support with completing additional courses such as Medical Retina, Glaucoma, Paediatric Specialist courses, Independent Prescribing and more

Test times are 25-30 minutes including pre-screening and all test rooms are equipped with a brand new Nidek phoropter and a retinal camera networked into each room. You will also have access to a Hidelberg OCT.

This is also a fantastic opportunity for those looking for a real career progression with CET training provided and 15 JVP's generated through this store ( 3 over the past 5 years)

Key Duties

• General working hours include 9am -5:30pm
• This is a full or part time role to work a minimum of 2 days a week
• You must be able to work at least 50% of weekends each month
• Testing eyes to 25- 30 minutes including pre-screening
• This opportunity is open to all level of experience including soon to qualify Optometrists approaching OSCEs

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• GOC Registered as an Optometrist
• Right to work in UK but visa sponsorships offered for qualified Optometrists with a GOC number
