Our client is a market leader in their field of Commercial / Office Interior fit outs and support services, based in Shepherds Bush, West London.

They re looking for a dynamic and experienced Bookkeeper who wants to work in the office of an entrepreneurial business with a small friendly team that is going places fast.

This role is the next important piece in their puzzle to complement the skills of the core team that will enable the business to scale further.

Initially, the role is part-time, 15 hours a week, at least 2 days a week office-based with flexibility by agreement.

The ideal candidate will be well-organised and comfortable dealing with financial data. You will be responsible for all the bookkeeping including accounts payable and receivable, submitting VAT returns and conducting other tasks related to finance.

They will also consider a genuine self-employed person for this role.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • All company bookkeeping
  • Generate, reconcile and manage sales invoices
  • Manage accounts receivables
  • Generating purchase ledger and reconciling it
  • Generate weekly payment files for suppliers to be signed off
  • Generate weekly sales reports
  • Weekly payroll duties
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • General administrative duties
  • To communicate with 3rd parties with regards to accounting matters.
  • Always represent the company professionally

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Live experience of using Quickbooks is essential
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills
  • Pays attention to details, spots discrepancies and missing information
  • Able to work on own initiative and in a team environment
  • Must have a positive and flexible attitude

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 2 AAT or ICB qualified
  • Live experience of using Quickbooks is essential
  • At least 2 years in a commercial office environment

Personal Qualities:

  • Organised, structured, with attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Works well on own initiative and under pressure
  • Friendly and reliable
