Senior Site Manager Civil Engineering

• Based in Barking
• Up to £320 per day CIS
• Minimum 4 months duration

We are currently searching for a Senior Site Manager from either a Civil Engineering or Build background for a complex residential scheme in Barking. The project is in its early stages and in need of a Senior Site Manager who has specific experience in the following:

• Basement/Substructures
• Temporary works such as propping
• Network Rail/TFL interfacing

This role will support the onsite Project Manager and be supported by the commercial and technical teams. Further experience on superstructure works/full-build packages could lead to a longer contract duration.

The role:

• Oversee construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and quality standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Lead and manage the site team, including Site Managers and supervisors.
• Develop and monitor detailed project plans and schedules.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure daily site activities comply with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage site logistics, including material deliveries.
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Required:

• Specific experience on the above-mentioned packages/interfaces required.
• SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and Temporary Works Coordinator certificate essential.
• Strong management skills and ability to coordinate various subcontractors on a site with a small footprint.
