About the Role - Cover Supervisor - Lewisham

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.

• You will ensure that students remain engaged in their classwork, maintain a positive classroom environment, and support their learning and development.
• Your role will also involve handling student behaviour and maintaining a productive, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
• Supervising pupils during lessons and ensuring they are engaged with their work.
• Providing feedback to teachers regarding students' progress and behaviour
• Reporting any concerns in accordance with child protection and confidentiality policies.
• Supporting pupils with a wide range of abilities and encouraging their academic success.

Ideal Candidate - Cover Supervisor - Lewisham

• Good knowledge of the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
• Confident in leading and supervising lessons for mixed-ability students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Available immediately and able to commute to Sutton.
