Project Manager - Contract Duration: 6 months initially

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, working on key technology functions within a major UK postal service provider. This role involves managing new HR initiatives and transitioning payment platforms, requiring a strong background in HR, Finance, and technology.
Day-to-day of the role: - Lead and manage new HR initiatives including updating the travel booking system and initiating a PSU/RFP for a new employee portal.
- Oversee the transition between payment platforms, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with IT and Central Functions teams to deliver project objectives.
- Engage with stakeholders across various levels, managing expectations and maintaining strong relationships.
- Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress and resolve issues.
- Provide leadership and direction to the project team, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Proven HR and Finance experience.
- Experience with payment platforms and SAP Enterprise Support Framework System.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering change projects successfully.
- Strong stakeholder and people management skills, capable of handling challenging interactions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Resilient and driven, with effective delegation and negotiation skills.
- Commercial acumen with experience in value-driven supplier management.
- Technical proficiency to support the project team in issue resolution.
- Familiarity with traditional and modern software/IT development lifecycles (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall).
- Desirable: Experience with SAP projects, Agile/Lean methodologies, and tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, and HP Application Lifecycle Management.
