Your new role
As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you'll support the finance team in managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 6 months of experience in a finance or accounts role who's looking to grow their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing customer payments and allocating them accurately
- Assisting with chasing outstanding invoices via phone and email
- Maintaining up-to-date records of transactions and communications
- Supporting the preparation of aged debt reports
- Helping resolve payment queries in collaboration with internal teams
- Assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Ensuring compliance with financial procedures and data protection regulations
What you'll need to succeed Minimum 6 months' experience in accounts receivable or finance support roleStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsGood communication and interpersonal abilitiesConfidence working with numbers and financial dataFamiliarity with accounting software and Microsoft ExcelA proactive attitude and willingness to learnExperience in wholesale or manufacturing environments involving stock is a plus.Bonus points for:
- AAT Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth business
- Exposure to CRM or invoicing systems
