Join us as a Risk Testing & Monitoring Manager

What you'll do

As a Risk Testing & Monitoring Manager, you'll perform reviews that support our business to embed excellence in risk management, while complying with bank policies, processes and guidance, adhering to regulatory requirements and delivering fair outcomes for our customers.

Alongside this, you'll maintain stakeholder engagement across 3LoD and build ongoing relationships to create a culture of collaborative working, openness and transparency. You'll also scope and lead reviews as set out in the T&M plan.

Your top priorities will include:

  • Documenting high quality reviews through robust and efficient testing strategies that focus on testing compliance with risk policies, regulatory requirements, rules and obligations
  • Undertaking key aspects of fieldwork and making sure that the work undertaken for us is fit for purpose and delivered on time
  • Leading meetings with stakeholders to communicate the review progress and outputs of testing activities
  • Assessing findings that are based on materiality and clearly articulating the impacts of any risks that are identified
  • Contributing to the design, build and implementation of enhancements to methodologies, testing tools and techniques
  • Complete robust follow up of findings to ensure adequately addressed by the business

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you'll be a subject matter expert in conduct risk, financial crime, and regulatory compliance, and have knowledge of local regulatory rules, guidance and handbooks.

In addition, you'll need an understanding of the regulatory requirements that are relevant for the specific risk management discipline and industry best practices, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships and excellent stakeholder management skills.

In addition, you'll need:

  • Knowledge of risk management within a financial services environment
  • An understanding of the appropriate tools, techniques and methodologies that are used to perform testing and monitoring or assurance reviews
  • Great verbal and written communication skills and the ability to identify key risks and areas of non-conformance with regulatory, policy, process and guidance requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and experience of producing clear, concise and accurate documentation
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, set your own priorities and manage your workload that'll be comprised of multiple deliverables
