Junior Estimator

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-known surfacing contractor who are looking for a junior estimator to join their team. This business has a turnover of 30m and is a side-arm of a 70m turnover RC Frame / Groundworks business.

This is a great opportunity for a young, hungry individual who wants to get their foot in the door with a well-established construction firm. The Directors of the business will invest time and effort into the chosen indvidual to help them progress their skill-set and career as much as they possibly can.

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior members of staff in analysing tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare cost estimates.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, materials, and supplier pricing.
• Analysis of risk and opportunity
• Attend regular tender review meetings

What you need:

• Ideally degree quailfied but not essential
• Motivated personality
• Strong communication skills and ability to be client facing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.); experience with estimating software is a plus.
