Repairs Supervisor

A client within the Public Sector based in North London is currently recruiting for a Repairs & Maintenance Supervisor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing repairs and maintenance environment.

The Role

The key purpose of the role is to oversee multi-trades and contractors, ensuring the effective delivery of void repairs, planned, and reactive maintenance works.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Managing directly employed operatives (DLOs) and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
• Ensuring Health & Safety compliance, conducting risk assessments, and leading toolbox talks.
• Managing on-site operatives, driving productivity, and overseeing performance.
• Effective resource and workload planning, carrying out quality assurance checks through regular audits, and maintaining accurate records.
• Scoping void works and post-inspecting completed works to ensure compliance with Lettable standards.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will require:

• A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.

• Experience working within a Local Authority or Social Housing environment.
• Strong team and people management skills, including managing multi-trades and contractors.
• IT competency and a full, clean UK driving license.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering 26 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. 20 per hour PAYE).
