About the Role
Are you a Team Teach-trained Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and behavioural challenges? We're currently working with a specialist SEN school in Hounslow that provides a nurturing environment for students with Autism (ASC), SEMH, and additional learning needs.
You'll play a key role in providing 1:1 and small group support, helping students develop confidence, emotional regulation, and independence through positive behaviour strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Support students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties (BESD/SEMH)Implement behaviour support plans and Team Teach de-escalation techniquesProvide 1:1 and small group interventions to promote engagement and progressAssist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom managementFoster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environmentMonitor and record students' progress, behaviour, and developmentRequirements
Team Teach certification (essential)Experience working with children or young people with SEN or behavioural needsA patient, resilient, and empathetic approachExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)What's On Offer
