Job Requirements/Description

Join our team at the Guardian and be a part of a diverse and inclusive global organisation that delivers fearless, investigative journalism, and holds power to account. Our team of award-winning journalists, cutting-edge commercial professionals, and industry-leading digital experts are committed to making a difference and represent a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. We offer a challenging and exciting environment for career development, with a focus on training, growth and fostering an inclusive culture.

We are now looking for a Senior Insight Analytics Manager to join the Marketing & Reader Revenue Analytics team, to provide data-considered insights in support of the Guardian's core strategic objectives.

About the role:

  • Create strategic, audience-focused narratives that bring insights to life and support decision-making across the organisation, increasing their visibility and impact.
  • Work closely with the Head of Reader Revenue Insights to shape the analytics strategy, define clear delivery roadmaps, and align resources with business priorities. Partner with senior stakeholders to position the insight function as a strategic thought partner rather than a service provider, helping shift perceptions of analytics from delivery to leadership.
  • Mentor and develop team members, adapting approaches to different team members, and play a key role in hiring and long-term capacity planning.
  • Guide the team in applying the right analytical approach, balancing rigor with business relevance, and ensuring insights are actionable and appropriate for context.

About you:

  • Skilled storyteller with the ability to tailor insights to diverse audiences and grow their visibility and influence across the organisation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills and building credibility.
  • Strategic thinker able to connect insights to broader business objectives
  • Experience managing and developing medium-sized teams, including coaching, mentoring, and designing team structures
  • Deep understanding in customer analytics with a proven track record of delivering strategic outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data tools, programming languages, and analytical methodologies.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, identifying opportunities for data to inform long-term strategic thinking

We operate in a hybrid environment working 3 days a week from our offices in Kings Cross and 2 days a week remotely.

We value and respect all differences (seen and unseen) in all people. We aspire to have inclusive working experiences and an environment that reflects the audience we serve, where our people have equal access to career development opportunities, their voices are heard and can contribute to our future. We actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds. Many of our staff work flexibly and we will consider all requests for flexible working arrangements.
