Key Stage 2 Teacher

The role

Francis Holland Preparatory School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and proactive professional to work as a Teacher in Key Stage Two (Maternity Cover). This opportunity would suit someone who wants to work as part of a dedicated team and has a passion for education.

The successful candidate for this post will have experience in Key Stage Two at least, with QTS or post graduate training relevant to the post. This position is fixed term for the academic year . Starting date 28th August 2025 until 3rd July 2026 (for three academic terms).

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and teach well-structured, high-quality drama lessons, following the school's plans and curriculum, working with schemes of work
• Prepare and lead drama performances, to include: the Infant Nativities, year group plays, and Prep School musicals
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge and positively support whole school initiatives
• Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of girls
• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge girls
• Promote good progress and outcomes by girls
• Meet the expectations set out in the Teachers' Standards
• Support and work collaboratively with the Class Teachers and Teaching Assistants, in the Prep School
• Manage parental contact when required
• Contribute to the marketing of the school through contributions to newsletters, the school magazine, the website and attending school events
• Attend school assemblies
• Provide cover lesson plans for any absence
