National electrical wholesaler looking to recruit an experienced warehouse/trade counter person. Previous experience required.

Job Summary

This role involves a combination of warehouse duties and trade counter/customer service responsibilities, ensuring efficient handling of goods, loading and maintaining stock levels. ensuring the warehouse is kept in a clean and tidy manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse knowledge and be comfortable with heavy lifting, as well as operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment. In addition to warehouse duties you must be prepared to jump on to the trade counter to assist customers.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling and storage.
• Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels, performing regular checks to ensure accuracy.
• Manage shipping and receiving processes, including preparing shipments for dispatch.
• Execute picking and packing tasks with attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
• Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Assist in building displays or setups as required for operational needs.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment in the warehouse.
• Assisting on trade counter as required.
• Handing customer product enquiries.

Experience

• Previous experience in warehouse.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus, aiding in the maintenance of equipment used within the warehouse.
• Experience with heavy lifting and materials handling is required for this role.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts or similar machinery is desirable.
