Porter Handyman

Moorgate, London £13.50-£14.50 per hour Full-time, Monday to Friday

We're seeking a reliable, energetic, and proactive Porter/Handyman to join the Facilities team at a large, well-renowned educational institution based near Moorgate. This is a hands-on role supporting the smooth daily running of the campus - helping set up rooms, carrying out light maintenance tasks, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors.

Moving and arranging furniture to set up classrooms, lecture halls, and event spaces Assisting with basic DIY and maintenance tasks (e.g. hanging noticeboards, tightening fixtures, touching up paint) Escalating more complex maintenance issues to the Engineering team promptly Monitoring facilities areas and reporting any cleaning, security, or health and safety issues to the relevant teams Managing the Facilities inbox - responding to general requests, logging issues, and signposting queries to the appropriate team Supporting campus operations and helping ensure all rooms and communal areas are well presented

Previous experience in a facilities, porter, or maintenance support role A proactive, efficient, and hands-on approach to work Excellent communication skills - able to articulate clearly and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels A positive attitude with the ability to bring energy and teamwork to the Facilities department Physically capable of manual handling and moving furniture Reliable, customer-focused, and adaptable
