Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with ASD in a 2-form entry mainstream primary school in West Ealing. The role is full-time, starting from half term, and offers the chance to make a real difference to a child's learning and development within a supportive school environment.

The Role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated support to a pupil with ASD throughout the school day
• Work closely with the class teacher to implement personalised learning strategies
• Assist with classroom tasks, small group activities, and transitions
• Support social and emotional development, helping the pupil engage with peers
• Follow behaviour plans, visual schedules, and IEP targets
• Contribute to observations, progress tracking, and handovers

You will be a key member of the pupil's support team, ensuring continuity and consistency in their learning experience.

Requirements

The school is looking for a candidate who:

• Has previous experience working with children with ASD in a school setting
• Is confident working 1:1 in mainstream classrooms
• Has strong behaviour management skills and patience
• Can work collaboratively with teachers, TAs, and parents
• Is reliable, professional, and adaptable
• Holds relevant qualifications in SEN support or teaching assistance (Level 3 preferred but not essential)

This role is suitable for both experienced SEN TAs and those looking to specialise in supporting children with ASD.
