Role: Yard Manager

Location: St Albans

Hours: Full time day shift

Salary: Up to 40k a year

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Yard Operative to join our clients successful team.

Duties of a Yard Manager:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the yard, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
• Manage yard staff, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring
• Maintain stock control and accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the yard, vehicles, and equipment
• Coordinate deliveries, collections, and logistics with suppliers and clients
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs

What we would like from you:

• Proven experience in a similar Yard Manager or Supervisor role
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of health & safety and environmental compliance
• Ability to operate yard machinery and equipment (licence's an advantage)
• IT literacy and confidence using stock management systems
