About the Role A high-achieving and well-regarded secondary school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics to join its successful humanities faculty on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to a dynamic department for the remainder of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging PRE lessons mainly across Key Stages 3
  • Inspire students to think critically about philosophical, ethical and religious issues
  • Assess, monitor and support student progress in line with departmental expectations
  • Contribute to the wider life of the department and school where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Philosophy, Religion and Ethics
  • Be an effective classroom practitioner with excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Be organised, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
