The Account Manager (AM) leads media planning across client accounts, ensuring the successful delivery of campaigns through best-in-class planning and strong client relationships. They typically manage at least one Account Executive, supporting their development while continuing to grow their own expertise.
The AM is comfortable working at pace across multiple projects, campaigns, and channels, with experience spanning both brand and demand generation. They actively explore new partners, tactics, and opportunities to bring fresh thinking to client plans, while collaborating closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure smooth execution and optimisation.
Role Purpose In this role, the Account Manager takes day-to-day ownership of client relationships and contributes to new business initiatives as needed. They are responsible for delivering innovative, results-driven solutions across their portfolio and managing the financial performance of all campaign activity within their team.
- Own campaign delivery, from RTB, planning, activation, reporting and optimisation of campaigns for clients
- Build strong relationships with campaign leads on the client side, and become a trusted source of quality RTBs and plan delivery
- Build a strong network of media partner relationships - both with key, established media partners and new and upcoming partners to test
- Manage the stakeholders (internal and external) required for successful delivery of campaign - from other channel teams to creative agencies etc
- Ownership of campaign finances ensuring all documents are maintained proactively and accurately
- Supporting, training and mentoring of the Account Executives in delivering all campaign planning and implementation
- Immerses self and team in clients' business: understanding their challenges, objectives, external economic environment, markets they operate in, competitive threats and relevant partner agencies; knows their business model, how it is performing and what success looks like; knows client's products inside out and applies this knowledge to deliver innovative, ambitious client plans and service
- Delivering a dynamic presence in presentations and other forms of client communication, adapting to different client requirements.
- Owning with the Account Executives reporting & analytics of campaigns
- Link insights to recommendations, optimisations and expansion of client activity
- Use knowledge of DB2B (and Dentsu) capabilities to influence and contribute to innovative, ambitious and value driven solutions
- Supporting the account leads and/or the wider agency leadership team with projects as required, including new business pitching, presentations, DB2B product development and award entries
What you bring - Good all-round client service experience
- Experience of planning across at least medium-sized clients
- Strong media planning experience & ideally good sector/B2B experience
- Experience in managing the finances for campaigns
- Maintain strong relationships with the media owner and partner community
- Good overall knowledge of DB2B (and Dentsu) products and services
